On October 19, 2017, the third biological particle academic seminar and the fourth chemical frontier (Suzhou) forum were successfully held at Jinling garden hotel in Suzhou and concluded on the 22th. The meeting was organized by the school of chemical and environmental engineering, department of materials and chemical engineering of Soochow University. It is the biennial professional academic conference of the biological particle professional committee of Chinese Society of Particuology. The meeting dedicated to enhancing the joint research and development between industries, vigorously developing and promoting the research and industrialized technologies of biological particles, strengthening exchanges at home and abroad, strengthening the cooperation between enterprises and schools, and establishing an academic exchange platform with practical and influential theories.

The meeting officially opened on the morning of 20th. Professor Liu biao, vice president of Soochow University, professor Cui fude, the chairman of the biological particle professional committee of Chinese Society of Particuology and the professor of pharmacy college of Shenyang pharmaceutical university, and professor Chen xiaodong, the chairman of the organizing committee and the president of the school of chemistry and environmental engineering and department of materials and chemical engineering of Soochow University delivered the opening speech of the meeting respectively.

The meeting included 12 general assembly reports, 17 thematic reports and 43 conference reports from 9 parallel reporting venues, as well as a poster exhibition venue. The 12 invited  guests were professor Yu aibing of University of Monash, Australia, professor Cui fude of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, professor Liu zhuang of Soochow University, Ma guanghui from institute of process engineering, Chinese academy of sciences, professor Wu chuibin of Zhongshan University, Takuya Nagato of Japanese Powrex company, professor Lv wanliang of Peking University, professor Zhong zhiyuan of Soochow University, professor Beom-jin Lee from Asian University of Korea, professor He zhonggui of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, professor Hu fuqiang of Zhejiang University, and Xie mufeng from Shanghai Food and Drug Inspection Institute. They respectively made a statement of the latest progress on the particle simulation, preparation, nanoparticle application, drug delivery system design and regulation release, consistency evaluation and other biological particle studies which had attracted the attention and discussion of the delegates. In addition, there were more than 200 professors, experts and scholars form Tsinghua University, Peking University, the Second Military Medical University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tianjin University, Fudan University, Tongji University, China Pharmaceutical University, Sichuan University, the University of Surrey, Crystal Pharmatech, Tianjin Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., Zhongke Senhui Microsphere Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and other well-known colleges and universities and pharmaceutical companies attended the meeting. 

In the closing ceremony of the meeting, professor Cui fude, professor Chen xiaodong and professor Cui jinhao, the co-chairman of the organizing committee, presented the awards to five best poster winners together. Professor Chen xiaodong, chairman of the organizing committee, presented the "National conference on biological particles founder award" for professor Cui fude. The meeting came to a successful conclusion in the warm applause.
